Intention

The ethereal fingertips passed right through with nary a whisper
although the love still shone strong
    touch didn't exist anymore

Prayers had been raised up
    words are strong
    the heart is stronger

Memories abound amidst fallen tears
    but what was this mist
    of unhuman form

Himself, herself
    Itself
    Simply energy now

Itself reached out again
The auburn hair glinted in the sunlight
A strand caught in wet eyelashes

Yearning displaced intention
    the weight of reality
    elephantine in the heart

"I am still here..."
